Due to the current crisis it is with regret that we cannot accept new players under the GIVE RUGBY A TRY scheme. New players are welcome subject to age group quotas in line with Covid Risk Assessment.
All new players will need to allow approx. 1 week for the registration process to be completed. If you require more information please contact the Team Manager of the age group you will be joining.
A very warm welcome to the Bedford Junior Blues U16 Homepage.
Rugby is and always will be a tough game so first and foremost it's really important the boys enjoy it. We promote the RFU core values throughout the club, are Teamwork - Enjoyment - Respect - Discipline - Sportsmanship, with these in mind we have set the squad and our coaching, playing and club sights for this season with the enjoyment of playing rugby, and teamwork for the boys.
All our players must be registered prior to training or playing in a fixture (to ensure all players are covered by the club's insurance). This season the club will allow 4 free weeks to allow your child to get a feel for the game and decide whether they want to continue before this 4 weeks trial starts all players should should be registered onto the RFU GMS database. Your child will NOT be allowed to play in any fixtures until full membership fees have been paid. These free weeks are conditional that you register with your child's age group, to cover your child while they play.
New players are always welcome.
Matches/Training takes place on Sunday mornings at the Ath from 10:00-12:00. To check where we play, please go to the 'Information tab' on the website and then to 'Age Group Info' we also train on a Thursday evening from 19:30-20:30 and encourage all boys to attend these sessions
Please do not hesitate to call or email me of our team manager if you have any questions
We look forward to seeing you all soon
