The objective for Mini Rugby is to have fun, learn to play good, safe rugby and make a multitude of friends. The primary goal is not winning at all costs, but improving the players abilities and enjoying ourselves. We work on rugby's 5 core values (T.R.E.D.S). Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.
With Rugby developing into differing variations such as 15 aside, Rugby 6s, Tag and Touch. There is always a route to playing rugby for all ages and abilities, for boys and girls not only through school age but well into our adult years.
At the Junior Blues all our senior and experienced coaches are fully RFU qualified and DBS checked. All parent helpers are DBS checked and must maintain a minimum level of qualification as directed by the RFU. Safeguarding is our primary focus to ensure the environment is not only safe but well managed.
Like all age groups we are very reliant on parental support when it comes to coaching and organising the group. Please do take into consideration the weather conditions and dress the players accordingly.
We are located at Bedford Athletic Rugby Club.
