President:
- Non – Voting Executive Position appointed if appropriate by the Full Committee. The role is advisory on matters appertaining to the safe and effective management of Bedford Junior Blues.
Chair:
- Chairs Full Committee and Management Committee meetings.
- Member of Finance Committee
- Responsible for negotiations with Bedford Blues/Bedford Ath.
- Coordinates activities of other Sub-Committees (Playing/Mini festival).
- Attends East Midlands Mini Junior Rugby Association meetings.
- Acts as liaison with the RFU/East Midlands and other Clubs.
Vice-Chair:
- Deputises for Chairman
- Oversees Discipline Committee
- Member of Management Committee
- Chairs Health & Safety and Safeguarding Committees
Treasurer:
- Chairs Finance Committee
- Responsible for all income and outgoings
- Produces financial statements of accounts.
- Manages Budgets.
- Member of Management Committee.
- Member of Social Committee
- Manages Stock
Secretary:
- Produces Agendas, takes minutes and publishes minutes of meetings.
- Arranges meeting venues.
- Deals with correspondence with other Clubs or Constituent Body.
- Member of Management Committee
- Produces Club Handbook/Amendments for Registration Day.
Operations Manager:
- Coordinates weekly activities at the club
- Maintains contact list for age group team managers
- Allocates pitches for matches
- Liaison with Council (Mowsbury), School (Mark Rutherford)
- Checks referees have been confirmed
- Allocates changing areas in the clubhouse
- Liaison with Kitchen
- The wet weather process coordinator
- Communication with age group team managers
Development Officer:
- Member of Bedford Ath Development Committee (Fundraising for future development of facilities at the Ath)
- Co-ordinates Corporate Sponsorship for Bedford Junior Blues.
- Member of Finance Committee
- Member of Social Committee
Schools Liaison Officer:
- Responsible for developing links with local schools in partnership with the RFU and the Bedford and Kempston Sports Partnership.
- Member of Safety/Welfare and Equity Committee
Safeguarding Officer:
- Responsible for Child Protection Matters
- Attends East Midlands Child Protection Seminars
- Member of Safety/Welfare and Equity Committee
- Ensure all volunteers undertake a DBS application every three years
- Develops club safeguarding procedures in conjunction with RFU policy
- Maintains up to date club volunteer database
- Updates RFU database regarding volunteers
- Co-ordinate a programme of training for volunteers (i.e. RFU Play it Safe courses)
- Co-ordinate first aid training for volunteers
- Ensure external First Aid certificates held by volunteers are valid
- Ensure club first-aid arrangements comply with RFU protocols
- Monitor the club website and report or amend inappropriate content
- Ensure RFU Tour Guidelines are complied with
Coaching Co-ordinator
- Deals with requests for Coaching Courses.
- Provides advice and guidance to Coaches as required.
- Deals with internal coaching issues.
- Responsible for Pitch Inspections at the Ath during inclement weather (This is usually done by whoever is available, but the responsibility rests with the coaching co-ordinators)
- Responsible for two-way communication between Coaches and Committee.
- Updates to Coaches Handbook each season
- Attends update seminars on coaching/refereeing.
- Maintains coaches qualification record
Fixtures Secretary (a) Junior and (b) Mini
- Arrange Fixture List for each season.
- Arranges additional fixtures as agreed with individual age groups.
- Request Referees through Referee Liaison Co-ordinator
- Responsible for informing Coaches and Opposition of cancelled matches/training. (Again in practical terms this can be shared)
Referee Coordinator:
- Arranges East Midlands Referees as required by the fixtures secretaries.
- Cancels East Midlands Referees if matches are cancelled.
- Arranges Referee Courses
- Advises on all matters relating to refereeing.
Age Group Team Managers
- Responsible for two-way communication between age group Team Managers/Parent Reps and the Committee.
- Maintains an accurate database of all registered players using GMS & BJB Payment Gateways
Social Secretary:
- Arranges any Club Social Function
- Chairs Social Sub Committee
Communications Officer:
- Provides approved media releases on behalf of the Junior Blues.
- Edits match reports supplied by coaches for inclusion in the local press.
- Writes Junior Blues section of Bedford Blues Match day programme.
- Member of Finance Committee
- Member of Social Committee
Health and Safety Coordinator:
- Responsible for Health and Safety matters relating to the ground and Buildings (Liaison with Bedford Ath).
- Member of Safety, Welfare and Equity Committee.
Equity Co-ordinator:
- Recommended by the RFU to deal with Equality and disability issues.
- Member of Safety, Welfare and Equity Committee
Shop Manager:
- Manages the purchase and sale of equipment and club playing kit.
- Arranges supply of trophies/medals for MINI festival
- Arranges supply of trophies for the end of season presentation.
Volunteer Coordinator:
- Co-ordinates and recruits volunteers to the Junior Blues
- Tour Co-ordinator
- Responsible for providing age groups up to date with club policies relating to touring
Facilities Manager:
- Responsible for general repairs and advise
