With the season at an official end for the Junior Blues, the Club wanted to extend its thanks for all the hard work the many volunteers have contributed to a very challenging season. The work that goes into delivering a safe and productive environment must be celebrated.
To the Head Coaches, Team Managers, Coaches, First Aiders, Parent Helpers and Committee Members, the club extends its thanks for keeping our Rugby Club operational and moving forwards in such challenging times. Bedford Junior Blues thanks you for your contribution.
As we now look forward to a season restart in September you may have heard the club is operating an Internal Summer Touch Tournament for ages U8 upwards. This will take place over a 6 week period starting this Sunday the 6th of June culminating on the 11th of July with a Tournament Finals Day and Club Summer BBQ.
The purpose of the Tournament is to be able to give some lost Rugby playing time back to our members, to mix age groups and coaches to bring the club together at the end of the season, to provide an opportunity for players to keep fit during the off-season, to provide an environment for players to improve their technical skills, for players to have exposure to club coaches from other age grades and finally to have fun!
This being our inaugural Summer Touch Tournament we hope to be able to hold the event on a yearly basis if successful. And who knows this could become something bigger in the future!!
Even though we start on Sunday, the first 2 weeks will be for team selections and getting to know the England Touch Rules.
There will still be time to join in and find a team if you cannot make it this weekend. For further details please speak with your respective Head Coach.
We hope to see you over the next few weeks. If we do not please have a great summer and we will see you in September.
