Video Competition Now On – closes 20th May

Dear Players/Parents,

In this time of uncertainty for all and extended lockdown we at Bedford Junior Blues are keen to ensure our players are very much still involved with rugby and are preparing themselves for our new season when it arrives. We are hoping to gather as a club in the summer ( COVID19 permitting ) to allow age groups to recognise their 2019-20 season that was actually played, with our End of Season Presentations, maybe a club wide Touch festival and BBQ. No dates have yet been set but please keep watching this space.

In the interim we are launching a player competition open for all. Each player from every age group is invited to submit a video to their Head Coach titled ‘ Keeping Rugby Fit During Lockdown’ It should be a fun, inspiration and motivational video detailing/showing what actions the individual player is taking under lockdown, to stay fit for rugby. Each video should be no more than 2 mins in length.

The Head Coach and their coaching team will then review all the videos from their respective age group and submit a total of three finalists to enter the overall club competition. From this selection the club will choose a winner accordingly.
Please can we have all videos submitted to Head Coaches by 20th May 2020, who will in turn submit their 3 finalists by 31st May.
The Club will announce the overall winner by early June. We are hoping Mike Rayer will be able to select the winning video.

The winner of this competition will be supplied with a full kit out from the club shop in readiness for the new season, Playing shirt, shorts, socks, training top and hoodie. As well as this prize they will be given £250 from the club for the charity of their choosing, and will have their video published across our website and social media channels.

Give it a go all and I am looking forward to seeing all these inspirational videos.
Keep safe one n all and look forward to us all being back together as a rugby family soon.
